Food & Pharmaceuticals

For hygiene reasons, pneumatic conveying is the method of conveying all food raw materials and finished products to eliminate spillage, dust and contamination.

Furthermore, many materials must be handled carefully in low velocity to prevent material breakage. Many other methods of conveying cannot meet stringent degradation requirements of many food processing industries.

In the late 1980’s, Macawber developed the SuperDenseveyor which operates using the slowest possible conveying regime, the solid dense phase. These systems are used to convey peanuts in their various forms (raw, whole and split; blanched and roasted), loose tea, sugar, breakfast cereals, pet food, corn and many other products that need to be conveyed without material degradation.

Macawber products are available in various materials including 304 and 316 stainless steel and food grade finishes.
